This is a game with enough fresh content to keep players coming back for years to come.The last time a Lego Star Wars game graced the consoles was around the time of Episode VII: The Force Awakens and a lot has happened in that time. While the Switch version feels a bit dated, that’s not the fault of the developer, which squeezed an impressive performance from Nintendo’s handheld. From the tight, scripted story gameplay to the sprawling open world, every piece of this game feels lovingly crafted.
Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is impressive in every sense. It also runs very well on the Switch relative to other LEGO games, which is just another feather in its cap. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a fantastic game, and serves as proof that TT Games can still serve up some surprises in this long-in-the-tooth franchise. And if you’ve never played one before, here is a great place to start. If you fell off the series because it felt like it was treading water, this might be the one to bring you back.
